The American Southwest is a place to ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle on weekends. This weekend we drove to Laughlin, AZ from Las Vegas, and the road was crowded with groups of people riding their Hogs, and the only gas station, in Searchlight, NV, was packed with Harley Sportster riders grabbing snacks and burgers. They were all dressed in Harley gear, helmets, jackets, and riding pants. The only place they were NOT in that truck stop was at the pump, getting gas. Spring is the best time of year for riding a bike because the air temperatures are perfect and the flowers blooming in the desert are superb so it is no wonder they were out in throngs.
A Harley Davidson motorcycle is a good way to save gas during this energy crisis. They are so fuel efficient, and are powerful machines, so if you want a fun way to get around and see some incredible scenery, consider trying out one of these fantastic bikes on a tour of the American Southwest. You can rent them in Las Vegas or Phoenix, so you can try before you buy! |
