If you're any kind of biker at all, then you must know that to anyone who owns and rides a Harley Davidson motorcycle, owning a Harley is more than just owning a piece of hardware. It's about being part of a community. So here's a story to warm the hearts of everyone in the Harley Davidson motorcycle community, riders, dealers, and hangers-on alike. This story comes from the Lima, Ohio Times newspaper and features a little lady named Doris Mullenhour. Doris, 79 years young, spent 35 years of her life touring all over the country in the sidecar of her husband Woody's motorcycle. When Woody passed away in 1999, Doris's sidecar rides were over, she thought, forever. However, Doris's sister-in-law decided to treat her to one final sidecar ride for her 80th birthday, so she contacted a local Harley Davidson motorcycle dealer to arrange for a ride. The dealer readily agreed, so now Doris Mullenhour will get her last sidecar ride with a Harley Davdison motorcycle, courtesy of the Lima Harley Davidson motorcycle dealership. It's an unusual request, but it just goes to show you how generous and tight-knit the Harley-riding community can be.
