However, faced with an aging pool of riders, the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company is reaching out to younger riders by putting out new bike designs that harken back to the brand's original roots. The new Harley Davidson motorcycle designs are part of the Dark Custom line, and they're beautiful machines that evoke speed and the classic rebellious Harley attitude, rejecting the futuristic designs of Japanese bikes like the Kawasaki. Based on what these new Harley Davidson motorcycle designs look like, you could plop one of them down back in the 1950s and it probably wouldn't look out of place alongside the vintage Harley sporter parked in front of the biker bar. One of the coolest aspects of the new stripped-down designs is that this makes the Dark Custom bikes more affordable for first-time buyers and other bikers on a budget. (Hey, do you know any rich bikers? I mean real bikers, not just some dentist  with a Harley Davidson motorcycle who likes to go out on weekends and pretend he's Peter Fonda.)
