As a lifelong fan of the Harley Davdison motorcycle I'm also interested to find designers and builders who are doing cool things with Harley Davidson parts accessories, like taking a Harley Sportster and making it even cooler by extending the forks, customizing the factory paint job with pinstriping or an air-brushed fat bob gas tank featuring an axe-wielding barbarian. That's why I'm glad to read about Bob LiVecchi, who's set up a full-service Harley Davidson parts accessories shop that will not only customize your Harley Sportster, he'll also sell you a Harley jacket and other Harley trappings as well. A real artist, LiVecchi sells his customized Harley Davidson motorcycle for under $30,000 apiece and takes around three months to build each one. LiVecchi's production manager Mike Ehrhardt describes "The Outlaw," one of the shop's latest efforts as "An amazing work of art," with "an old-school look with modern-day technology." Among this cool bike's features are all-digital readouts. LaVecchi is able to keep the costs for his bikes down by buying original Harley Davidson parts accessories at a discount from the manufacturer and then passing on the savings to they buyers. Sounds like a good philosophy to me.
