The first time I became really interested in the Harley Davidson Motorcycle was when my future husband showed me a picture of his parents. Raised conservatively, I was taken back by the man on the Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the woman standing behind him in leather pants and wearing a Harley jacket. I soon, however, learned not to fear Harley Davidson Motorcycle riders, but to respect their incredibly good taste.
That's the problem though, they have good taste. The Harley Davidson Motorcycle is not an inexpensive ride. Quite the contrary. Such great workmanship commands a much higher price. Which is exactly why The Harley Davidson Motorcycle skips an entire generation in appeal. Not on purpose of course. It's simply that the only people that can afford such beautiful machines are generally a little older and more established. Babies and young children can get away with wearing the Harley Davidson paraphernalia because they don't look "desperate" in wearing clothes that represent something they would never be able to afford.
I am one of that sad generation for whom neither the Harley Davidson Motorcycle nor the accessories really fit. I am the lost middle generation. So, until Harley's become less expensive, or I can wear the accessories without everyone knowing I am too poor to actually buy the motorcycle I will simply have to watch and admire from a distance.
