The Harley Davidson Motorcycle company and the Ford Motor Company are continuing their historic alliance, begun in 1999 with the release of the 2008 Ford Harley Davidson F-150, touted as the most power factory F-Series truck ever built. The release of this special edition F-150 is timed to help the Harley Davidson Motorcycle company and Ford kick off their 105th anniversary celebrations, since both companies were begun in that same fabled year. This new limited edition truck is only the third supercharged Ford Harley Davidson Motorcycle F-150 following the best-selling 2002 and 2003 editions that are among 60,000 specialty trucks sold worldwide since 1999. According to a Ford press release, "This anniversary edition F-150 honors the humble beginnings of two American icons in 1903. The truck is available as SuperCrew 4x2 or all-wheel-drive models and features a choice of Black monochromatic exterior with custom stripe running along the beltline or an available Black and Vintage Copper two-tone exterior paint. The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 truck is the tenth model to emerge from a Ford Harley-Davidson Alliance that began in 1999. The co-branding of the two storied companies has proven to be a successful formula with sales of Ford Harley Davidson Motorcycle F-Series trucks totaling more than 60,000 units." It only makes sense that these two icons of American motorsports would team up for co-branded products to produce the perfect vehicle to haul a trailer carrying your Harley Davidson motorcycle and Harley Davidson parts accessories to the next big run in another state. I wonder how many of these Harley Davidson Motorcycle Fords we'll see at the big party in Sturgis.
