As a rider, I don't think there is enough written on safety involving motorcycles. Perhaps on this Harley Motorcycles blog I'll get some attention from a few people. It's really a great feeling to jump on the bike the first warm day in the spring. But let's think of a few things first. When was the time you checked the pressure and condition of your tires? How's your brake fluid? How about the brake light? Get the idea? Do that pre-trip! How about that mental attitude? Are you letting your guard down? Do you have your Harley jacket on to save your skin?

I've been driving professionally for over 21 years and I know that anticipating situations before they happen has saved me quite a few accidents. The power of a Harley Davidson motorcycle is exhilarating and it can lead you into trouble if you are not careful whether it is a Harley Sportster or not. You jump out to pass a slow line of cars and realize, hopefully not too late, that the car in front is making a left turn. Or you are passing that same line of cars and a car pulls out from a side street not looking in your direction before he pulls out. Or one of the cars you are passing decides he wants to pass also at the same time forcing you off the road. If you are a new rider or have had a few accidents or near misses, pay attention to this Harley Motorcycles blog for more info.
